Loves:
- Being the first to flop for belly rubs
- Rooting adventures with his pig family
- Sunbathing in complete safety
Story:
Maui, our sweet and snuggly boy, made his way to Luvin Arms in June 2025. He was found by the Denver Police Department wandering the streets near an area known for homesteading practices and was taken to the Denver Animal Shelter for safety. When the shelter posted his photo, one of our fantastic community members recognized that he needed sanctuary and reached out to us right away. We drove down to meet him and instantly knew that Maui had found his forever home.
In many homesteading situations, animals like Maui are raised for meat, breeding, or profit rather than companionship. It’s rare for them to escape that fate. But Maui’s story took a different turn: he found freedom, safety, and love at Luvin Arms.
Today, Maui spends his days rooting around with his new pig family, basking in the sunshine, and being the first of the big pigs to flop over for belly rubs. He reminds us every day just how special and sentient these incredible beings truly are.
