Luvin Arms is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal sanctuary for abused or neglected farmed animals in Erie, Colorado. Our rescued residents include cows, pigs, turkeys, chickens, horses, goats, sheep, and ducks. These beautiful residents were rescued from horrific situations including abuse and neglect cases, factory farms, religious rituals, slaughterhouse-bound trucks, bankrupt farms, and more. They were left with nowhere to turn and would have been slaughtered if they hadn’t been saved.
Roberta arrived at Luvin Arms with her sister, Carlita, when they were just a few weeks old. They bought them from a feed store for a child to play with. Two days later, the family realized they were unprepared to care for them and surrendered them to the sanctuary. For Roberta and Carlita, coming to Luvin Arms meant they could grow up together in a permanent home. Here, Roberta has the space to explore, build relationships, and make choices about her day. Her care will continue as she grows older, respecting her needs, preferences, and the bond she shares with her sister.
