- Foraging in the grass
- Playing with Olive
Poppy and Olive were abandoned in a box before finding their way to Luvin Arms. These very young chicks had thoughtlessly been painted pink. We suspect they had been used as part of a gender reveal party. Their story is not entirely known but what is known is that the dyeing of any animal is illegal in the state of Colorado. It is recognized that animals cannot consent to being dyed and that dyes can be harmful. This is just another sad example of sentient beings used for human purpose and entertainment. Luckily, Poppy and Olive have found their forever home at the sanctuary where they’re guaranteed to be treated with love and respect for the rest of their lives.
