Atreyu’s Story
Atreyu came to Luvin Arms following a cockfighting seizure in Oklahoma. When we received the call for help, the chickens were already being transported out of a temporary shelter and urgently needed permanent placement. They were underweight, infested with mites, and suffering from injuries. Our care team prepared to welcome three roosters and two hens and provide the care they needed.
Atreyu arrived with a broken beak and a broken toe. He received immediate medical treatment and individualized care to support his recovery. After what he had experienced, he needed a safe place to heal and people who would pay attention to his comfort and needs.
Today, Atreyu shares his home with Eloise and Aspen and enjoys watching over his flock. At Luvin Arms, he can build those relationships and live without being forced to fight. Our responsibility is to give him the care and protection he should have had from the beginning.
