Logi’s Story
Logi came to Luvin Arms with four other chickens following a cockfighting seizure in Oklahoma. When we received the call for help, the three roosters and two hens were already being transported out of a temporary shelter. They were struggling with injuries, low body weight, and mites, and needed a permanent home where they could receive ongoing care.
Logi arrived underweight and very nervous, with bumblefoot, a painful infection affecting both of his feet. Our Care Team treated his feet and changed his bandages every three days until he recovered. Alongside that medical attention, he needed time and space to settle into unfamiliar surroundings.
Today, Logi shares his home with Dani, a hen from the same rescue. They have been able to remain together as they build their lives at the sanctuary. Here, Logi can choose how he spends his days and whether he wants to approach the people around him. His care will continue throughout his life, with attention to his health, comfort, and relationship with Dani.
