Kali’s Story
Kali came to Luvin Arms with four other chickens following a cockfighting seizure in Oklahoma. When we received the call for help, the three roosters and two hens were already being transported out of a temporary shelter. The group was struggling with injuries, low body weight, and mites, and needed a permanent home where they could receive ongoing care.
Kali arrived underweight and with a skin infection. Our Care Team began addressing her medical needs right away, giving her the care and time she needed to recover.
Today, Kali shares her home with Squint, a rooster from the same rescue. Their relationship is part of her life here, where she can spend her days with a companion and choose how she explores and interacts with those around her. At Luvin Arms, her health, comfort, and relationships will remain our responsibility throughout her life.
