Eggplant’s Story
Eggplant and her flock survived the Marshall Fire on December 30, 2021, but the family caring for them lost their home. Luvin Arms offered the hens a safe place to stay while their family faced the loss and uncertainty that followed. What began as temporary refuge eventually became their permanent home.
Eggplant remains closely bonded with the other hens in the “fire flock.” They enjoy finding the highest places to perch and snuggling together each night. Staying together has allowed them to maintain the relationships and routines that matter to them.
At Luvin Arms, Eggplant has a lifelong home alongside her companions. Caring for her means protecting those bonds, providing spaces where she can enjoy her days, and paying attention to her individual needs.
