Cricket’s Story
Cricket came to Luvin Arms with two companions after a predator attacked their backyard coop. She was severely injured, and the other two chickens were frightened by what had happened. The people caring for them surrendered all three to the sanctuary, where they received the medical care and attention they needed.
Their experience reminds us that chickens depend on secure housing and people who understand their needs. Providing that protection is part of our responsibility to them, along with recognizing their preferences and giving them opportunities to make choices in their daily lives.
Cricket and her companions are settling into their home at Luvin Arms. As they adjust, we’re getting to know each of them and allowing them to approach new experiences at their own pace. Cricket has a lifelong home alongside her friends, where her comfort and safety will continue to guide her care.
