Dec. 27, 2021 – Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary will host a months-long New Year, New You campaign of events focused on the health benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. Events will include a plant-based 101 cooking demo, a speaker panel of plant-based medical experts, and the film screening of acclaimed documentary, What the Health.
The Luvin Arms New Year, New You campaign will also include the Sanctuary’s first ever mentorship program for anyone interested in trying a plant-based diet. Each person who pledges online to try a plant-based diet for the entire month of January will be paired with a free inspirational vegan mentor who will provide all the one-on-one, customized support needed to successfully transition to a plant-based lifestyle.
“On a plant-based diet, we can thrive healthfully for our entire lives,” said Director of Advancement in Ahimsa, Emma Schwarz. “By choosing to incorporate more plant-based meals into our diet, we can extend our lifespan, and most importantly, our healthspan. Our healthspan is the span of time in our life when we are healthy, fit, and mobile. By investing in our health before diseases arise, we are unfettered by the financial burden of medical expenses in the management of preventable chronic diseases, such as heart disease.”
Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal sanctuary for abused or neglected farmed animals in Erie, Colorado.
