Nov. 22, 2021 – On Tuesday, November 30, the world will celebrate Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday helps nonprofits like Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary increase understanding and empathy in our own communities and promote collective action through the individual power of generosity.
“Luvin Arms is a living, breathing space for compassion,” says Executive Director, Shartrina White. “Luvin Arms exists for one simple reason: to end all animal suffering in every shape, size, or form. Because when we end animal suffering, it will also lead to an end to human suffering. We are all animals and earthlings of this planet.”
Luvin Arms’ Giving Tuesday campaign includes raising funds for their oldest residents. The Sanctuary is committed to taking care of each and every animal resident for their lifetime, which includes managing serious issues with arthritis and pain due to the inhumane breeding practices of the animal agriculture industry. As their resident population ages, the Sanctuary now needs to pioneer new medical care strategies to address these aging issues, including costly laser treatment, large resident weight scales, and pain management medications.
Every dollar will be matched up to $15,000 by a generous Luvin Arms donor, until the end of day Tuesday, November 30th. Donations can be scheduled in advance!
Luvin Arms is a nonprofit animal sanctuary for abused and neglected farmed animals based in Erie, Colorado. We provide exceptional lifelong social, emotional, and cognitive care for our animal residents, and to advocate for those who have not been rescued by sharing our residents’ stories to inspire, educate, and empower others to embrace a more compassionate and sustainable lifestyle.
