12 potbelly pigs were confiscated by local law enforcement during an animal cruelty investigation in Jacksonville, Florida. They were being kept in an above ground pool with no food, water or shelter. The state attorney recently released them from evidence hold. We are taking 5 of them in and have agreed to transport another 4 to safety.
We hadn’t planned for this but we couldn’t bear the thought of them being euthanized or sent to auction.
Our care team will either drive out with a trailer or fly out and drive back with a rental. It hasn’t been decided yet. Either way, it’s going to be expensive.
