We all love a treat! Make our residents’ day by making some treats for them as rewards in their clicker play enrichment at the sanctuary.

Peel your bananas and mash them with the peanut butter until smooth.
Measure and pour in your flour, adding half at a time. Mix until evenly combined and add the remaining half.
Fold together until combined. Use your hands as needed to form a solid ball of dough.
Chill the dough for 20 minutes*. (Optional, but it helps firm the dough more.)
Remove the dough from the fridge and place on parchment paper or a well floured counter.
Preheat your oven to 325 F.
Roll out the dough to a 1/3-1/2 inch thickness.
Using your heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out shapes as desired.
If you don’t have a heart shaped cookie cutter, you can…
1. Cut a symmetrical heart out of paper by folding it in half and drawing half a heart on the side of the paper that is folded.
2. Then cut out the shape of your heart by following the line with your scissors.
3. Boom, there’s your heart!
Cut out shapes. Place the paper heart on the dough and cut around the shape of the heart. Remove the paper.
Transfer your cookies to a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Remove and let completely cool before transferring to an air-tight container.
