Walter’s Tribute:
Walter has escaped death twice. He was first bought to be raised and then slaughtered for Thanksgiving dinner, but his family became attached and decided to keep him. That family moved and left Walter in a small enclosure along with one rooster, Rocky, and three ducks, Benjamin, Luna, and Oliver, who also now call Luvin Arms home. Luckily, a concerned neighbor discovered Walter and his friends and called Luvin Arms to see if we could provide them with a home. When Walter arrived, he was extremely malnourished. Because of his rough beginning, Walter typically preferred to keep his distance. However, once he felt he trusted you, he’d come up to the fence and talk your ear off!
In 2022, Walter welcomed Koda the duck and Kenai the chicken into his home. The interspecies trio loved spending all their days and nights together. We are so happy Walter found such great friends in Koda and Kenai and lived a long and happy life at the sanctuary.
