Story:
In March 2025, we received a call about a rooster at the Humane Society who was showing signs of a possible neurological issue, and we knew we had to help.
Joel had been found wandering the streets, clearly distressed. After being taken in, he got into a scuffle with another rooster and continued to show signs of stress during his six-month stay at the shelter. Eventually, it was suspected that Joel might be suffering from a neurological disorder.
When Luvin Arms stepped in to give Joel a permanent home, we were ready to provide the best care possible for whatever condition he might have. But once he arrived, it quickly became clear that Joel wasn’t suffering from a neurological issue at all; he was simply tired of confinement. All he needed was space to roam, friends to connect with, and the peace of sanctuary life.
Now, Joel spends his days exploring the grounds with his best girl, Merida, happily scratching for snacks and living life as the confident, curious, and “bestest boy” we know him to be.
