Fawn’s Story
Fawn and her companions, Silvermist, Tinkerbell, Vidia, and Iridessa, were considered “spent” hens because their egg production had slowed. That label reduced their worth to how many eggs they laid, without regard for their lives, relationships, or needs.
A family rescued the five hens and brought them home to live with Peter, a white peacock abandoned on a property south of Denver. The family had already given Peter a home and wanted him to have companionship. They cared for Peter and his feathered companions for nearly a decade.
When the family needed to sell the property, they contacted Luvin Arms to arrange a permanent home for Peter and the hens. Fawn arrived with familiar companions and could continue those relationships as she settled into the sanctuary.
At Luvin Arms, Fawn can explore, socialize, and choose how she spends her days. Her care will never depend on whether she lays an egg. She has a lifelong home where she is valued as an individual and where her needs will continue to matter as she grows older.
