Lisa first connected with Luvin Arms in 2016, when she and her neighbor were searching for a permanent home for two domestic ducks (Penelope and Malachi) that had been abandoned on a pond near their homes. Luvin Arms welcomed the ducks to the sanctuary, and shortly after, Lisa began regularly volunteering, focusing primarily on the bird residents. She enjoys getting to know their individual personalities and making sure they get plenty of their preferred treats.
Favorite Memory
When Tito first arrived at the sanctuary, he was a tiny, fragile calf. Thanks to great veterinary care and the dedicated team at Luvin Arms, he has blossomed into a big friendly guy. My favorite early memory of Tito is cuddling up with him when he was just a baby for his nap time. He would snuggle right in, put his head in my lap, and snooze away.
