Caitlin grew up in Louisiana surrounded by a family that cared deeply for animals. Watching her parents and grandparents open their homes to animals in need inspired her passion for animal care from an early age. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Central Florida and has experience working with a variety of species in professional animal care settings.
After returning to Louisiana, Caitlin continued her work in animal care, where she especially connected with giraffes. In 2025, she made the move to Denver to begin a new chapter. While she is new to sanctuary work, she is excited to continue learning and to be part of a team dedicated to providing compassionate, lifelong care to rescued animals.
