Aoife began their animal advocacy journey in elementary school. After watching an ASPCA commercial, they became determined to help all animals. They started by going door-to-door, raising money for the ASPCA and trying to catch and assist neighborhood strays. As they grew older, they became the go-to person for helping with local strays and lost pets. By the time Aoife reached 10th grade, they had officially gone vegan despite significant backlash from family and classmates. Aoife started volunteering at Luvin Arms in the fall of 2021 and joined the staff as a tour guide in August 2024. They spend all their free time learning about the residents’ stories, personalities, and fun facts.
They have especially bonded with one of our cows, Marley Rose. Together, they demonstrate to guests how incredibly sentient cows are. Marley Rose follows Aoife around the pasture during tours, gives them big head hugs, rests her head on Aoife’s, gets jealous when Aoife pets the other cows, and will intervene to break them up.
