Jolene grew up in a small town in North Carolina. She has always loved spending time with animals, including her goats and chickens she had growing up. She’s been working with animals for the past few years and never wants to stop working in the animal care field!
Favorite memory with our residents:
My favorite memory is digging up clumps of grass and putting them in with the chickens. The flock of Cornish hens in particular LOVE to eat all of the grass and the worms in the clumps of dirt. Seeing Helga and Valentine argue over a bug and chase each other around is like watching happy kids playing soccer. It makes me so happy to see them get so excited! It makes me realize that there are so many small and simple things you do can bring a lot of joy and fun to life.
